Since most plastics are made from petroleum chemicals that cannot be replaced,there is a need for recycling.
Thermoplastic,such as polythene,are easy to recycle ♻️ because they can be re-melted.
Thermoplastic such as Bakelite, pose a problem as they cannot readily be broken down.
